About Us
With 24 years of experience, Tucker's Child Development Center is a leading provider of child care and early education. Headquartered in Washington, DC, we employ over 30 people and serve over 110 children per day in our two centers.
Tucker's Child Development Center accepts any child regardless of race, religion, or family background. Tucker's Child Development Center accepts vouchers from the Department of Human Services, as well as private funds.
We believe that child care involves more than babysitting. Studies prove that 85% of brain development occurs before the age of five. Tucker's Child Development Center's quality early childhood education program provides the appropriate experiences a child needs to connect brain synapses, which are at the root of learning and skill development.
Children are born with the tools needed to learn and they are eager to learn. Tucker's Child Development Center helps lead children to their potential with state-of-the-art facilities that enhance their experiences and prepare them for a lifetime of learning.
The center is located near by wheeler road and two blocks from the Congress Heights stop. Saftey is our top priority and we are happy to have regular city police to monitor our community.

Mrs. Bertha Tucker
Bertha Tucker started the center in 1994 and added the 2nd center in 2008. With numerous awards and special recognition for a job well done, the centers have blossomed in the Washington D.C. area with 110 children.
With an established team of leaders sorrounding her, it is no wonder why the two centers and children have made such progress. At Tucker's Child Development Center she focuses on early child development activities and parent education.
